9 Day Morocco Tour Plan:
Day 1 : Transfer to Marrakech from Casablanca (3 Hours Drive)
the 9 Days tour from Casablanca will start with a pick-up from the Airport or your accommodation in Casablanca. Then make our way to the historical city of Marrakech, where you will have free time in the evening to stroll in the famous Jemaa el Fnaa square and other nearby sights. Spend the night in Marrakech.
Day 2 : Exploring Marrakesh: The Red City
We’ll be dedicating the day to exploring Marrakech with a local guide. Marrakech is known as the Red City and it is one of the four Moroccan imperial cities. Our guide will ensure that you visit all sites with cultural and historical interest including The Bahia Palace, Lmnara, the Saadian tombs, and the Majorelle garden. After lunch in a restaurant, we’ll explore the famous Koutoubia Mosque, and stroll through Medina’s large Souk/Market.
Day 3 : Marrakech to Boumalne Dades (5 Hours Drive)
On 3rd day, We’ll leave Marrakech and then drive through the high Atlas Mountains and Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2260m). Stops will be made to enjoy panoramic views of the fascinating mountains and visit the rural Argan Oil Cooperative. After that, We’ll head to the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. A fortified town recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Furthermore, the Kasbah was used as a backdrop for more than 20 films and TV series including Game of Thrones, Gladiator, The Mummy…etc.
Later, We’ll continue to Ouarzazate (The gate of the desert), where we visit a Studio and Kasbah located in the city. Then We’ll head towards Boumalne Dades through the Valley of Roses. Stay overnight in a hotel.
Day 4 : Transfer to Merzouga Sahara (4 Hours Drive)
After breakfast, We start the day with spectacular views of the Dades Gorges. Then we visit Todgha Gorges to enjoy the beauty of the landscape while walking along the narrow canyon floor. After that, we drive through the magnificent palm groves of Tinjdad. Free time for lunch on the way.
After Lunch, We’ll head toward the Merzouga Desert, where you take a camel ride through the sandy desert. Along the way, you will witness a magnificent sunset on top of the dunes. Upon arrival at the luxury camp, you will enjoy Berber drums music while dancing under the open sky full of stars. Spend the night in nomad tents.
Day 5 : Merzouga Sahara to fes (8 Hours Drive)
Wake up early morning to catch the magical sunrise in the middle of the Sahara. After breakfast, you will ride a camel back to the point where our driver will be waiting. Then we make our way to Rissani to explore its large souk and visit one of the fossil workshops in Erfoud.
After that, we’ll drive along Ziz Valley. Stop in Medalt for lunch, Then continue Through the biggest cedar forest in Morocco (Home of Barbary macaques). After that, we visit Ifrane (the Switzerland of Morocco) before arriving in Fes.
Day 6 : Fes Sightseeing Tour
We’ll spend the day discovering the highlights of the oldest imperial city (Fes) with our local guide. first, we’ll visit the Royal Palace gate, followed by the old Medina which is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Your visit will include all sites with cultural and historical interest, such as the famous Al-Qaraouine University and the old Jewish quarter called Mellah.
After lunch, We’ll explore the leather factory called Chouara Tannery and then drive to an ancient fortress for a wonderful panoramic view of the whole Medina of Fes. Overnight at your hotel/riad.
Day 7 : Transfer to Chefchaouen (4 Hours Drive)
Today, We’ll continue our journey to Meknes and visit many amazing sights in the city including Bab el Mansour, the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum, the Royal Stables, and The Jewish Quarter. Then we head to the archaeological site of Volubilis (Walili). Volubilis is the most attractive site in the region as it is recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. After strolling in the ruins, we continue to the Blue City of Chefchaouen where you can wander the beautiful streets and alleyways in shades of blue. Spend the night at a hotel.
Day 8 : Chefchaouen to Casablanca (5 Hours Drive)
After breakfast, we’ll leave Chefchaouen and head to the capital city of Morocco (Rabat), where we visit the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, the Royal Palace, and the beautiful Oudaya Kasbah. Free time for lunch at a restaurant. Then we drive along the coastline to Casablanca. Overnight at a hotel.
Day 9 : Casablanca Sightseeing Tour
On the last day of the tour, and considering your flight time. we’ll be exploring the highlights of Casablanca. first, we’ll visit Hassan 2 mosque, The mosque is located on a promontory overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, and it is one of the largest functioning mosques in Africa.
