Marrakech to Fes Desert Tour 5 days Tour Plan:

Day 1 : Marrakech to Ouarzazate (5 Hours Drive)

5 days tour from Marrakech to Fes starts with a morning pick up from the airport or your accommodation. Then drive through the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2260m). Stops will be made to enjoy panoramic views of the fascinating mountains and visit the rural Argan Oil Cooperative. After that, we continue through various Berber villages and visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. A fortified town recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Furthermore, the Kasbah was used as a backdrop for more than 20 films and TV series including Game of Thrones, Gladiator, The Mummy…etc.

Then we head to Ouarzazate (The gate of the desert) Where we spend our first night.

Day 2 : Ouarzazate to Dades Gorges (3 Hours Drive)

We start our second day with a visit to the Atlas Studios and Taourirt Kasbah located in Ouarzazate city. Then we drive through the palm grove of Skoura known as the road of Thousand Kasbahs to visit Amridil Kasbah.

After that, we head to Kelaa Mgouna, which is famous for its annual Festival of Roses. Then we continue to Dades Valley and stop to enjoy the incredible vistas of rock formations known as (Monkey Toes). Spend the night in a hotel.

Day 3 : Boumalne Dades to Merzouga Desert (4 Hours Drive)

After breakfast, we visit Todgha Gorges to enjoy the beauty of the landscape while walking along the canyon floor between the narrow walls. After that, we drive through the magnificent palm groves of Tinjdad. Free time for lunch on the way.

After lunch, we head toward the Merzouga Desert, where you switch to camel and take a ride through the sandy desert. Along the way, you will enjoy a magnificent sunset on top of the dunes. Upon arrival at the desert camp, you will enjoy Berber drums music while dancing under the open sky full of stars. spend the night in the camp.

Day 4 : Explore Merzouga Areas

Wake up early morning to catch the magical sunrise in the middle of the desert. After enjoying Breakfast you will ride a camel back to the point where our driver will be waiting. Then we start to explore the regions of the Merzouga desert. First, we visit Khamlia and enjoy the Gnaoua music. Then we visit the nomadic people in their handmade woven tents to explore their way of life while enjoying a cup of Berber tea.

After lunch in a restaurant. we drive along the palm trees grove and stop at Merzouga Lake. Dinner and overnight in a hotel.

Day 5 : Merzouga Desert to Fes (8 Hours Drive)

On the last day of 5 days tour from Marrakech to Fes. After breakfast, we will leave Merzouga desert, cherishing the beautiful memories we made. Then we head to Rissani town, known for its large souk. And continue to Erfoud to visit one of the fossil workshops.
