Morocco Travel Itinerary 10 Days Tour Plan:

Day 1 : Arrive in Marrakech

Your 8 days tour from Marrakech will start with a pick-up from the Menara airport in Marrakech, and then our driver will transfer you to your hotel or Riad.

Day 2 : Visit Marrakech with a Local Guide

We’ll spend our 2nd day exploring the city of Marrakech with a local guide. We’ll ensure that you visit all the historical sites and cultural spots, such as the Bahia Palace, Lmnara, the Saadian tombs, and the Majorelle Garden. Moreover, we’ll explore the Koutoubia Mosque and stroll through Medina’s large Souk/Market. Then you will have free time in the evening to wander in the famous Jemaa El Fna Square, where you will see storytellers, musicians, snake charmers, healers, and countless food stalls.

Day 3 : Transfer to Dades Valley (350 km)

After breakfast, we’ll depart from Marrakech and cross the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2260 m). Stops will be made to enjoy panoramic views of the fascinating mountains and to visit a rural Argan Oil Cooperative. After that, we drive to the biggest Kasbah in Morocco, Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. A fortified town recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In addition, the Kasbah was used as a backdrop for more than 20 films and TV series, such as Game of Thrones, Gladiator, The Mummy, etc.

Later on, we continue to Ouarzazate (the gate of the desert), where we visit the Atlas Studio and Kasbah Taourirt. Then we head towards Boumalne Dades through Rose Valley. Overnight in a hotel.

Day 4 : Dades Valley to Erg Chebbi (368 km)

We’ll start our day with the spectacular views of the Dades Valley. Then we head to Todgha Gorges to enjoy the beauty of the landscape and walk along the narrow canyon floor. After that, we drive through the palm groves of Tinjdad toward the Merzouga Desert, where you can take a camel ride over the sandy desert and witness a magnificent sunset on top of the dunes on your way to the Sahara camp.

Upon arrival at the desert camp, you’ll enjoy a delicious dinner and then gather around the campfire to enjoy traditional Berber drum music under the starry sky. Spend the night in a traditional tent.

Day 5 : Touring in Merzouga Sahara Regions

Today, we recommend an early morning wake-up to watch the magical sunrise on the top of a high dune in the middle of the Sahara desert.

After breakfast. You’ll ride a camel back to the point where our driver will be waiting to start exploring the region of the Merzouga desert. First, we drive to Khamlia to enjoy the Gnaoua music, and then we visit the nomadic people in their handmade woven tents to learn more about their way of life while enjoying a cup of Berber tea. After lunch in a restaurant, we take a stroll along the palm tree grove and then drive to Merzouga Lake, where we can see beautiful flamingo birds. Overnight in a hotel.

Day 6 : Merzouga Desert to Fes (467 km)

After breakfast, we’ll leave the Merzouga Desert, cherishing the beautiful memories we made, and make our way to Rissani to wander on its large souk/market and then visit one of the fossil workshops in Erfoud.

After that, we drive along the Ziz Valley to Medalt. We’ll have some free time for lunch and then continue through the biggest cedar forest in Morocco (home of Barbary macaques) to Ifrane, where we visit the Atlas Lion statue before heading toward Fes. Overnight at a hotel/riad.

Day 7 : Visit Fes with a Local Guide

Today, we’ll discover the highlights of the oldest imperial city (Fes) with a local guide. Your tour will cover all the sites with cultural and historical interest. Our first stop will be the Royal Palace gate, followed by the old Medina, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then we visit the famous Al-Qaraouine University and an old Jewish quarter known as Mellah.

After lunch, we’ll explore the leather factory called Chouara Tannery and then drive to an ancient fortress for a wonderful panoramic view of the whole Medina of Fes. Overnight at your hotel/riad.

Day 8 : Fes to Chefchaouen via Meknes (258 km)

Today, we’ll continue our trip to Meknes and visit many amazing sights in the city, including Bab el Mansour, the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum, the Royal Stables, and the Jewish Quarter. Then we drive about 32 km from Meknes to the archaeological site of Volubilis (Walili). Volubilis is the most attractive site in the region, as it is recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

After strolling in the ruins, we travel to Chefchaouen, known as the blue city because of its beautiful streets and alleyways in shades of blue. Spend the night at a hotel.

Day 9 : Chefchaouen to Casablanca (335 km)

After breakfast, we’ll have some free time to wander on Chafchaouen’s beautiful alleyways. and then we head to the capital city of Morocco (Rabat), where we visit the Hassan Tower, the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, the Royal Palace, and the beautiful Oudaya Kasbah.

After lunch, we drive along the coastline to Casablanca to see the famous Hassan 2 mosque. which is located on a promontory overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and is one of the largest functioning mosques in Africa. Overnight stay in a hotel.

Day 10 : Transfer to Marrakech (243 km)

On the last day, we’ll depart from Casablanca and drive to Marrakech. Finally, your 10 days tour from Marrakech ends with a drop-off at Menara Airport or your accommodation in Marrakech.
